My debut cookbook, Veneto: Recipes from an Italian Country Kitchen (Faber & Faber) will be released in July 2017.

The book is a collection of recipes inspired by my Venetian origins. It contains 100 recipes, ranging from the more traditional to the reinvented, from the hearty to the bite-size.

Every recipe is introduced by a personal story, an anecdote or an insight on the Veneto region and its food, all told from a personal, memoir-like perspective. In this sense, I hope it’ll be at home in your kitchen as much as on your desk, by your bed, or wherever you go to rest, read, and get inspired.

I wrote, cooked and styled all the recipes in the book. I also took all the food and landscape images, travelling around the Veneto to capture some of my favourite corners of this wonderful and largely undiscovered region. Looking back, it might seem like a crazy endeavour,  but the though that there’s nothing quite like it around makes it worth the while.

Production-wise, I had the pleasure of working with a stellar team of editors and professionals at Faber, and with talented (and patient!) Anna Green as my book designer. I hope you’ll like the book as much as we all do, and can’t wait for you to see it.
